Learn About Deokali

Located near Naya Ghat, this temple is deeply intertwined with stories from the Ramayana. According to legend, upon her marriage to Lord Rama, Mother Sita brought with her an idol of goddess Girija Devi to Ayodhya. In reverence, King Dashrath built a magnificent temple to house this idol, where Mother Sita would often offer her prayers. Today, the temple proudly hosts a striking statue of Goddess Devkali, the revered local deity.

One of the key attractions of Deokali is its age-old temples, which stand as silent spectators to the passage of time. Their architecture provides a window into the artistic sensibilities and religious ethos of the bygone eras.

Nature too has been generous to Deokali. Lush green expanses, serene water bodies, and the melodious chirping of birds create an ambiance of tranquility.
